Advent is the beginning of the church calendar. This is a season of hope that calls us to examine our faith in light of the first coming of Jesus in a manger, to his second coming at the end of the present age. What does it mean to patiently persevere in the hope of things to come?

The Early Church, Our Church (3 of 7)

This seven-part series follows the travels of the apostle Paul through the cities of Antioch, Colossae, Ephesus, Philippi, Thessalonica, Corinth, and Rome. David reveals the failures and successes of these churches, and addresses their unique contributions to our faith. What can we learn from these encounters?
